This summer I am presenting at the Oxford University Press “For the Love of Teaching” conference in Prague. The same session also runs in Brno the previous day, on 26 August.

My session is called They Think It’s Just a Game and it is about exactly that: how simple classroom activities secretly build the thinking, speaking and listening skills students need to argue clearly and confidently. No debate experience needed – just a willingness to let your classroom get a little noisy.

All activities come straight from my 8-lesson classroom programme. You will leave with things you can use on Monday.
